Artist Statement

I have come to realize my best work has a direct connection to the people and relationships in my life. My art is heavily influenced and impacted by these relationships, dreams, and daily happenings therefore the work becomes my personal voice. My wood canvases have allowed me to paint my inner thoughts as well as shed light on the history of others. I’m an artist. I am extremely curious and passionate about life, beautiful things, and creativity.

Biography

My name is Morgan Cremins, I reside in Portland, ME where I attended Maine College of Art. I’m pursuing a BFA in Illustration. My illustrations and paintings consist of naturally occurring patterns and abstracted forms reminiscent of architecture, nature, and living organisms. My work is painterly, creepy but cute and has a feminine quality to it. I use bold colors and overlap them with vibrating patterns, without my personal material language, my abstracted clutter would not be conveyed.
